Hello! My name is Heidi and Madam Giraffe is my personal blog. It’s a place for me to share my thoughts and the silliness and stresses of everyday life.
I’m 30 years old and live in the Los Angeles metro area with my husband, Jim, and our dog, Morris Chestnut. Morris Chestnut is a rescue from the San Gabriel Valley Humane Society. He’s about 2 and a half years old and is a miniature poodle mix. (Current hypothesis is that he is a goldendoodle mixed with a cavalier king charles spaniel – a goldencavapoo?)
I like animals, reading, cuddling, coffee, superhero movies/television and getting overly excited! I have a B.A. in Theatre from the University of Southern California and currently work a 9-5 desk job in the network radio industry.
I was diagnosed with my first major depressive episode when I was 19. I had my most recent one at the age of 30. My brain has a chemical imbalance and like any long-term medical condition, I monitor and treat it to the best of my ability and try to lead a normal life. Sometimes I talk about it, sometimes I don’t.
